flying fairy mural

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.  The design for this little girl's room was inspired by a tiny fairy on the lid of her jewellery box.  I painted the fairy flying across one wall, sitting above the door, and as a height chart in the space between the wardrobe doors. Naturally, lots of sparkly silver glitter was added to tiaras, wands and wings!

I always like to add a little secret detail for the owner of the room to discover - here, I added a flower growing from the skirting board next to the bed.
