Cedar Hall School Little Free Library
In July 2015 I was commissioned to design and paint my fourth Little Free Library. This one is destined for Cedar Hall School in Essex, and is scheduled to be installed some time in August.

The only brief from the school for the design was for something "bright and colourful", so I had free reign to design whatever I liked. I used the school logo of a cedar tree as my starting point, and decided to paint one big tree on either side, with "Book Man" walking along a tightrope suspended between them. Then I added other colourful characters, animals and insects.

Before installation the library will have perspex added in the window at the front, a little knob to open the door with, and a hook on the side will be added. I'll post more photos once it's been installed at the school. I hope they like it!

Take a look at the Little Free Library website to find out how you can commission your own little library for a school, or a front garden.
